2025 GOALKEEPER CAMP

The University of Michigan Women's Soccer Goalkeeper Camp is designed to create an elite level training environment for developing goalkeepers.  Goalkeepers will be coached on the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of goalkeeping while given the opportunity to engage in thoughtful conversation around the role of the goalkeeper throughout various moments of the game.  The training environment will foster game-like decisions that replicate the demands of the game and push goalkeepers to develop in both speed of thought and speed of action.

Goalkeepers will be coached by the University of Michigan Women's Soccer Goalkeeper Coach, Tori Christ, along with current University of Michigan Women's Soccer goalkeepers and guest goalkeeper coaches.

Camp size is limited to 24 goalkeepers- be sure to register early!

Location:

  • University of Michigan Soccer Stadium Complex
  • 2250 S. State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48103
  • Parking is available in the SC39 Parking Lot and is free of charge during camp

Sample Itinerary:

  • 8:00am: Check In
  • 8:30am: Camp Welcome, Warm Up
  • 8:45-10:15am: Session 1- Footwork and Handling, Distribution, Shot Stopping
  • 10:15-11:15am: Session 2- The Role of the Goalkeeper Throughout Phases of Play (classroom and film)
  • 11:15-12:30pm: Session 3- Cutbacks and Angle Play, Crosses/Service, Breakaways
  • 12:30pm: Camp Closing

What To Bring:

  • Water Bottle
  • Soccer Cleats
  • Goalkeeper Gloves
  • Non-Cleat Shoes (Sneakers/Slides)
  • Shin Guards

Medical Care:

  • Athletic Trainers will be on hand at the fields during all field activity for minor injuries. 
  • Emergency care will be provided by the University of Michigan Hospital for more serious injuries.
  • While the soccer camp provides secondary insurance, the campers’ health insurance will be used as the primary coverage and all forms will be on hand with the camp administrator.

Refund Policy:

  • All cancellations must be requested in writing by email to wsoccercamps@umich.edu.
  • If a cancellation occurs more than one week before camp, you will receive a refund, minus a $25 administrative fee and convenience fees.
  • Cancellations made within one week prior to camp will not receive a refund.
  • Camper Credit toward a future camp will not be awarded.
  • If you purchased camp insurance and need to cancel registration, please reach out to wsoccercamps@umich.edu for guidance.

Open to any and all entrants; limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH NCAA RULES, MICHIGAN SPORTS CAMPS ARE OPEN TO ANY AND ALL THAT WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND, BUT MAY LIMIT ATTENDANCE BASED ON SEVERAL FACTORS, SUCH AS AGE, NUMBER AND GRADE LEVEL. HOWEVER, CAMP ATTENDANCE AT MICHIGAN (INCLUDING ATTENDANCE AT ELITE OR ADVANCED CAMPS) IS NEVER RESTRICTED BY A CAMPER'S SKILL LEVEL OR COMPETITIVE EXPERIENCE.
