Facilities

  • The 2023 Rowing Summer ID Camps will take place at the University’s on-campus Rowing Center, located in the South Campus Performance Center (SPC). The camps are land-based and there is no on-the-water component.
  • Facilities that the Summer ID Camps will use at UM’s Rowing Center includes a state-of-the-art Ergometer Room, an Indoor Rowing Tank, and team meeting rooms and locker rooms. A virtual tour is available online. Start at the Rowing Lobby, and be sure to visit the Erg Room and the Indoor Rowing Tank while you’re there. 

Directions

  • The Rowing Center is located in the South Campus Performance Center (SPC), on the South Complex of the Stephen M. Ross Athletic Campus.
  • The address of the SPC is 2530 South State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. 
  • From Detroit Metro Airport and points east: Take I-94 west to State Street (exit 177). Turn right. Travel north approximately 1.25 miles through two traffic signals. The entrance will be on the left just past the U-M Lacrosse Stadium and Jones Family Dental (across the street from Oasis Hot Tub Gardens and Arbor Hills Hair and Body Salon).  Follow the entrance road to SC39 Parking Lot.
  • From Chicago and points west: Take I-94 east to State Street (exit 177). Turn left. Travel north approximately 1.25 miles through three traffic signals.  The entrance will be on the left just past the U-M Lacrosse Stadium and Jones Family Dental (across the street from Oasis Hot Tub Gardens and Arbor Hills Hair and Body Salon).  Follow the entrance road to SC39 Parking Lot.
  • From Toledo and points south: Take U.S. 23 north to I-94 west. Follow directions from Detroit Metro Airport.
  • From Flint and points north: Take U.S. 23 south to I-94 west. Follow directions from Detroit Metro Airport.

 

THIS CAMP IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY MAIZE AND BLUE ROWING CAMPS LLC. THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXPENSES RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CAMP OR COSTS INCURRED IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION OF ALL OR ANY PORTION OF THE CAMP.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH NCAA RULES, MICHIGAN SPORTS CAMPS ARE OPEN TO ANY AND ALL THAT WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND, BUT MAY LIMIT ATTENDANCE BASED ON SEVERAL FACTORS, SUCH AS AGE, NUMBER AND GRADE LEVEL. HOWEVER, CAMP ATTENDANCE AT MICHIGAN (INCLUDING ATTENDANCE AT ELITE OR ADVANCED CAMPS) IS NEVER RESTRICTED BY A CAMPER'S SKILL LEVEL OR COMPETITIVE EXPERIENCE.
