ELITE OVERNIGHT CAMP

OUR ELITE OVERNIGHT CAMP IS CURRENTLY AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY AND AIRPORT TRANSFERS ARE FULL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO CHECK BACK AS MORE DORMS MAY BECOME AVAILABLE AND CANCELLATIONS MAY OCCUR.

The Michigan Women’s Lacrosse Elite Summer Camp is for high school aged players looking to advance their skills and game knowledge in a competitive environment. Our elite camps are geared towards those athletes who aspire to play lacrosse at a high level.

Players will be coached by the Michigan Lacrosse staff and players as well as other Division 1 coaches from around the country.

This camp will provide world class instruction in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Key focus areas will be on fundamental skill development, positional and situational concepts, game strategy, and full field play.

Goalies will receive personalized and intensive world class instruction from D1 players and other guest coaches.

Overnight and commuter options are available. Overnight campers will receive the full experience of staying in the UM dorms and feel what it is like to be a Michigan Student Athlete!

Required Forms

You will be required to have uploaded a physical form to your online account in order to check-in on the day of the camp. You may have a physician sign the attached physical form or use a copy of a sports physical signed by a physician. The physical must have been completed within 13 months of the start of the camp. Athletes cannot participate until a completed form is uploaded to their account. Follow these steps to upload your form:

  1. Click the Log In Here button at the top of the page.
  2. Use the same log in information you used to initially register for camp.
  3. Click the Proceed to My Account button or the Account button at the top of the page.
  4. Click the "Files" button which corresponds with the order from camp.
  5. Click the "Browse" button and select the file you wish to upload.
  6. Click the "Upload" button and that's it! The file will automatically be uploaded to the player profile for camp.

Refund Policy:

Refunds (minus processing fee and admin fees) will be granted up to June 1st, 2018. After June 1st, there will be absolutely no refunds under any circumstances.

  • What to bring:

    Overnight campers should bring the following:
    -All lacrosse equipment (goggles, mouthguard, stick, etc)
    -Cleats/Turfs/Sneakers
    -Water bottle
    -Sunscreen
    -Shower supplies/Towel
    -Extra clothes
    -Sheets and pillow for twin bed
    -Spending cash for camp store and optional “fourth-meal” after last session of the evening (if needed)

  • Location and Travel:

    Campers will participate in lacrosse activities at South Campus Lacrosse Field (2500 S. State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48109) and at the Indoor Training Center- ITC (1000 S. State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48109). Housing and meals will take place in the South Quad Dormitory (600 E. Madison, Ann Arbor, MI 48109). Campers flying in should fly into Detroit Metropolitan Airport (25 minutes from Ann Arbor). Please contact Maeve McKew, Director of Operations, (mmckew@umich.edu ) to coordinate transportation to and from the airport. Transportation can be arranged for an additional fee.   • Check-In:

    The check-in process will take place at South Quad dormitory (600 E. Madison, Ann Arbor, MI 48109). Here, the camper will get camp information, a camp t-shirt, and will turn in the required physical. After lacrosse check in, campers will complete the housing portion of check-in where campers get their room key and roommates (requests will be taken at that time). All campers will then meet in the designated meeting space outside of the dorm at 1pm in preparation to depart for the afternoon session.

  • Commuter Campers:

    • Commuter campers should check in at South Quad at 12:30pm.
    • Commuter campers should be dropped off at South Campus Lacrosse Field every morning no later than 8:45am and can be picked up at South Quad following the end of the evening session. *A parent or guardian (or an adult on the emergency contact sheet) must sign each commuter camper out each day.

  • Dining:

    Overnight campers are provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the South Quad dormitory. Commuter campers are provided lunch and dinner and should come to camp having already eaten breakfast. Due to the timing of check-in and our desire to get an afternoon session in the first day, the normal dining hall lunch will not be available after check in. Only dinner and “Fourth Meal” will be provided (details below) the first day. The dining hall provides a "Fourth Meal" option that can be purchased for $8 a day and it is available for each night of camp between the hours of 8:00pm-10:00pm. The meal(s) can be purchased by CASH each night of camp including the first night and/or up front at dorm check-in.

  • Documents:
    Physical:

    Physical: Campers must either bring or upload a physical clearing them for physical activity that is dated no longer than 12 months from the start of camp. Please upload this via the camp website or bring on the first day of camp. No camper may participate without a physical form.

    Resident Camper Permission Slip (RESIDENT CAMPERS ONLY):

    The dorms require all incoming campers to sign the attached Summer Camp Permission Slip. You and your camper can sign this form on the spot, but to help expedite the check-in process, it is helpful if you fill out the form prior to coming. Any guardian can be present to sign this form. These will be turned in at the housing portion of check-in. ATTACHMENT COMING SOON!

    Dorm Registration Card (RESIDENT CAMPERS ONLY):

    Overnight campers will also be asked to fill out a dorm registration card that has emergency contact information along with a space to provide information if someone else is picking up the camper as an early check-out or as a commuter. We will have blank cards at check-in, but once again we're providing it early to expedite the check-in process. These will be turned in at the housing portion of check-in. ATTACHMENT COMING SOON!

  • Camp Bank and Store:

    The Camp Store and Camp Bank will be located in South Quad (room TBD). The camp bank provides a safe place for campers to leave cash and the store is filled with Michigan Lacrosse apparel and cold Gatorade/water and snacks. The store is open during and after lunch, dinner, and after the final session of the evening until 10:00pm. The Bank/Store will be open during check-in and check-out as well. Campers should withdraw their remaining money before the final day of camp.*
