Location and Travel

Campers will participate in lacrosse activities at three locations:

  • Michigan Lacrosse Stadium (2500 South State Street, Ann Arbor MI 48104)
  • Michigan Stadium (the football stadium - 1200 South Main Street, Ann Arbor MI 48104)
  • Indoor Training Center (1000 South State Street, Ann Arbor MI 48109).

The specifics of which campers will be where will be communicated prior to camp.  We provide transportation throughout the day.  Every camper will use all three spaces during the camp.

Housing and meals will take place in the South Quad Dormitory (600 E. Madison, Ann Arbor, MI 48109).

Campers flying in should fly into Detroit Metropolitan Airport (25 minutes from Ann Arbor).  Michigan Lacrosse Camps cannot provide transportation from Detroit Metropolitan to Ann Arbor.

Check-In

The check-in process will take place in two stages at the South Quad dormitory.  Stage 1 will check the camper in, we will collect any necessary medication, and our on-site athletic trainers will be present to answer any questions.  Stage 2 will be the housing portion where campers get their room key.

All campers will then meet in the designated meeting space outside of the dorm at 5:15pm in preparation to depart for the evening session.

Commuter Campers

  • Commuter campers should arrive towards the end of check-in (4:00pm - 4:30pm) due to their expedited check-in process.
  • Commuter campers should be dropped off at South Quad every morning no later than 8:30am (buses depart each morning at 8:45am) and can be picked up at South Quad following the end of the evening session, or at South Quad following the end of the optional evening class-room session.

Dining

Overnight campers are provided breakfast, lunch and dinner in the South Quad dormitory.

Commuter campers are provided lunch and dinner and should come to camp having already eaten breakfast.

Due to the timing of check-in and our desire to get a session in the first night, the normal dining hall dinner (5:00 - 6:00pm) will not be available on the first night.  The dining hall is providing a "Fourth Meal" option that can be purchased for $8 a day and it is available for each night of camp between the hours of 8:00 - 10:00pm.  The meal(s) can be purchased by CASH each night of camp including the first night and or up front at dorm check-in.

Documents

Resident Camper Permission Slip (RESIDENT CAMPERS ONLY):
The dorms require all incoming campers to sign the attached Summer Camp Permission Slip.  You and your camper can sign this form on the spot, but to help expedite the check-in process, it is helpful if you fill out the form prior to coming.  Any guardian can be present to sign this form, and I can act as the guardian if necessary.  These will be turned in at the housing portion of check-in.  ATTACHMENT COMING SOON!

Dorm Registration Card (RESIDENT CAMPERS ONLY):
Overnight campers will also be asked to fill out a dorm registration card that has emergency contact information along with a space to provide information if someone else is picking up the camper as an early check-out.   We will have blank cards at check-in, but once again we're providing it early to expedite the check-in process.  These will be turned in at the housing portion of check-in.  ATTACHMENT COMING SOON!

Camp Bank and Store

The Camp Store and Camp Bank will be located in South Quad (room TBD but will be communicated).  The camp bank provides a safe place for campers to leave cash and the store is filled with Michigan Lacrosse apparel and merchandise and cold Gatorade.  The store is open during and after lunch, dinner, and after the final session of the evening until 10:00pm.  The Bank / Store will be open during check-in and check-out as well.  Campers should withdraw their remaining money before the final day of camp.
